Keeping the child in everyone’s life

When a relationship breaks down it isn’t just the partners who suffer. It’s the children who have most to lose; and not just because of the stress of seeing their parents at odds. They also risk losing contact with one of their parents, and with that parent’s family too. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins: half their family, half their life, can be devastated by parental acrimony. The NSCFC believes that continuing contact with a child’s extended family is vital for the child’s balanced development, and it works to foster those all-important family contacts. As such we offer free support and advice to all those in need, Helpline at National rate also available.

KRAMER vs KRAMER

Winner of five Academy Awards including Best Picture, Actor, and Screenplay, Kramer vs. Kramer remains as powerfully moving today as it was when released in 1979, simply because its drama will remain relevant for couples of any generation.

We need your help...
The NSCFC needs help in expanding its work. We have an advice line, we carry out research into issues related to child welfare after separation and divorce, and we offer help in getting legal advice. But we depend on voluntary contributions to continue this work. By offering a donation or sponsoring us you could help to ease the distress of a child or family member.

The NSCFC believes that, when faced with
the separation or divorce of their parents,
children need the love and support of
both families in their lives. We encourage
fair and balanced contact for parents and
also for children's relatives.

The NSCFC has extensive contacts with
organisations that can provide help and
advice on a range of matters relating to
parental rights and obligations after
separation or divorce.
