All at the NSCFC Wish to give our heartfelt thanks to Dave for his kind offer of support, Dave has offered us free original music for our charity and all our media needs via Star Studios

 

 

Star Studios was launched in 2000 by musician/producer Dave Peterson to offer the best of recording facilities to performers and businesses. Since then we have expanded our services to include audio and video post-production, re-mixing of existing works,
live recording of solo singers and musicians, music for production shows and original music composition for Radio and TV programs, advertising and all kinds of film music. Dave offers top class recording and post production facilities to media throughout Europe at much more competitive rates than the UK.

The basic cost is €40 per hour. Average per song is 2 hours. Discounts are available for block bookings of 5 hours or more. Hotels can be recommended (around €50 per night) either near the studio (little night life) or in Benidorm. Transfers to and from the studio can be arranged as can airport pickups and car hire. Bookings for flights, car hire and hotels are the responsibility of the client.

From a parents point of view, the Malibu is one of the few venues in Benidorm offering "family" entertainment (i.e. no blue comedians, sex shows etc.!) and is guaranteed safe to take children and elderly
relatives. We offer high quality music and cabaret every night except Tuesday from Sept 1 till June 30 every year. On Cabaret nights I myself entertain from 8-30 till 9-30 and the then from 9-45 till 10-30 we
present a cabaret show which I accompany on piano. The last two sets feature the cabaret artiste and we also welcome guest singers, both pro and amateur to sing a couple of songs each. Dene Michael works with me on Sunday nights. On Wednesday and Sunday afternoons we present a live jazz trio along with guest musicians and singers, these two sessions are always oversubscribed.

The NSCFC applauds Matt’s new NOBULL initiative and are left in no doubt as with his Martial Arts Schools, being such a fine role model he will continue to steer many a needy youngster along the right path to self confidence and worth which in turn will make them whole again. You have my every support Matt and thank you so much for yours, Best Wishes, Mike.

NOBULL is a new initiative aimed at educating children from a young age that bullying and racism are anti-social and have a detrimental affect, not only on children’s personal lives and those around them, but also on how they achieve at school.

The NOBULL campaign is headed up by martial arts instructor, Matt Fiddes, who himself was a victim of bullying when he was at school. Matt has the backing of some famous people with NOBULL including Jermaine Jackson, who was runner up in the controversial Celebrity Big Brother 2007 where the issues of bullying and racism were very much to the fore.

“I really believe that every child has the potential to succeed at school, however it’s often issues such as lack of self confidence and low self esteem that breeds a tendency towards bullying others” says Matt.

“NOBULL will not only promote anti-bullying and anti-racism, it will show children how to say NO to peer pressure, and we will teach them about the danger of drugs. We can also teach some basic self defence moves as well.

“Jermaine’s visit to Devon launched the campaign at Forches Primary School in Barnstaple, and from there it was rolled out across the UK, including London, which has some of the worst truancy records in the country.

“In a nutshell- NOBULL can help to transform a child’s life by giving them self respect and showing them that being nice to people will get you places whereas bullying always has a negative effect. At the very core of NOBULL is the ethos of treating others as you would like to be treated yourself.”
