UPDATE! Increase in Domestic Violence
against Men by Women READ
MORE!
Due to the
countless estranged clients who have contacted us, it has become
very apparent that many have never been advised at the outset by
their solicitors as to their need to have or obtain parental
responsibility be it mutually agreed in legal documentation form by
a partner or County Court Order. We implore all parents to view this
matter with the utmost urgency for not to do so could leave you
without any legal rights whatsoever in relation to your children. In
reality many have spent hundreds if not thousands of pounds without
ever being advised of this absolute necessity. If this is so in your
case please read the following advice from the Law Society:
Their reply is as follows:
The Family Law Protocol is a guide to best practice. However,
the Society is aware that breaches of the Protocol cannot pass
unchallenged if there is no good reason for them. Clearly a breach
of the Protocol, if no reasonable justification can be given for it,
can give rise to an application for costs by opposing solicitors.
Other sanctions can also be brought into effect. As solicitors on
Resolution's accreditation scheme and those on the Society's
relevant Panels confirm that they will abide by the Protocol, it is
possible to reconsider membership of these schemes if the Protocol
is breached repeatedly and without valid reason.
If an individual wishes to
complain about their own solicitor they should contact the Law
Society's Consumer Complaints Service (CCS) or you could contact the
CCS about whether third party complaints for example, by the the
National Society for Children and Family Contact, can be
investigated. Their contact details are as follows:

Lord Justice Thorpe reported in The
Times recently: “In so far as people may be made anxious by the
argument that privacy is cloaking injustice, I think it would be
quite healthy to remove that privacy in family courts, (and) expose
the process to public scrutiny which would reveal that it is in
generally good condition."

his commitment to the cause Dene has taken on many Radio interviews
in Spain on our behalf, this to include an up and coming mention of
both the song and work we do during a profile of his career by
the BBC TV scheduled for the near future. |

50 years of change It is clear that the family unit has changed
considerably over the last fifty years. Fifty years ago the number
of people over the age of 30 that were still single was just 25%.
Now in 2005 approximately 55% of the population over the age of 30
are single. |

I have had several friends whose families have split. Anything anyone
can do to help dads stay in touch with their kids has my support.
Good luck in your work.
